Feel Like You Don’t Measure Up? Try This Approach Instead

Why God Isn't Worried About You Not Measuring Up | Rush Podcast-3.png

God wants us to live holy lives, but he doesn’t want us obsessing over whether or not we measure up. Discover the radical truth behind love-based kingdom living.

We can be hard on ourselves. After all, we are taught, by this world of ours, to be always looking for ways to improve—because we are never good enough. Get in shape. Be more productive. Get better informed.

Most of us are a million miles from imagining that we are ever okay, just as we are, right now. Most of us are a million miles from knowing how to be kind and merciful to ourselves.

It is Jesus’ love that ultimately transforms us into the people we are made to be—not a diet, not a degree, not a paycheck. But if we don’t believe this, then we spend our days striving or self-medicating. We spend our days trying to prove to ourselves, trying to prove that we are worth more than we believe we are, or by numbing the pain of believing we are not.
