The Secret to Seeing God With Childlike Wonder
In our cynical world, we view humility and vulnerability as weakness. But God calls us to see him with the openness that comes from childlike wonder. Learn the secret to tapping into his infinite strength.
Jesus encourages us to approach Him with childlike hearts. With hearts that know they are loved. Hearts that trust they are safe. Hearts that are willing to take risks. Unguarded hearts that can grow and learn.
When disciples asked Him, “Who is considered to be the greatest in heaven’s kingdom realm?” Jesus told them, “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable, and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in. Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this gentle child is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm.” That’s Matthew, chapter 18, verses 3 and 4.
Are you willing to humble yourself a bit? Can you surrender control? Can you lay down your strength, so that you can tap into His infinite strength? Can you drop your guard and do something that might feel a bit foolish?
