A New and Biblical Way to Look at Purity
No matter what you’ve done or what sins you struggle with now, if you are in Jesus, you are pure. It’s time for a new and biblical way to look at purity. Warning: You might think it’s too good to be true.
When we hear the word purity—and when we consider God’s way to look at purity—what comes to mind? We probably don’t readily consider this truth—because of Jesus, we are already, right now, pure. That reality is a bit much to take, isn’t it? We are pure, now. Not because of what we’ve done, but because Jesus’ light illuminates and eliminates the darkness within us.
It’s all a bit difficult to comprehend. In a world where the laws of cause and effect and justice and personal responsibility reign supreme, it would make much more sense if it were 100% up to us to purify our lives, to get ourselves shaped up.
